Snow Plow Contract

FAIRWAY VILLAS CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION

SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACT

The Fairway Villlas Condominium Association (Owner) will receive bids for:

Snow and ice removal, for the owner, of all 104 units in the Association.

 

SCOPE:

This project entails the removal of snow on the driveways, walkways, porches and sidewalks of the aforementioned units when the snow exceeds three (2) inches.  All snow/ice MUST be removed from these areas.  Ice Guard or an approved equivalent shall be applied to all areas that have a slope in excess of 5 degrees and all walkways and porches.  Application of Ice Guard or equivalent is an ADD item and is not to be considered in the TOTAL BID PRICE.  Bidder will submit an itemized listing of each unit to be done with the BID FORM on company letterhead.

Upon completion of all work and approved by the Fairway Villas Condominium Association representative, contractor shall apply for payment.  Itemized payment invoice should be addressed to:

Upon full completion of said work, Owner will pay the contractor.

 

INSURANCE

Before commencement of work under this contract, the contractor shall furnish to the Owner satisfactory evidence of insurance issued by the carrying company.  The following are minimum requirements:

Comprehensive General Liability-with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 Aggregate with respect to the contractors operations.

 

Workman’s Comp.-Coverage needs to be in force as applicable by the state of Ohio.

 

Certificates of Insurance submitted to the Owner by the contractor must carry the provision that policy will not be terminated without 30 days written notice to the owner.

 

COMMENCEMENT

Work is to begin on the project whenever snow measures on the ground to a depth of two (2) inches or more beginning November 1, __________.  This contract expires in May of _________.

 

CLEAN UP

Cleaning is to be performed in order to maintain a safe environment.  All care will be taken to clean up and remove any debris present.  If the workplace is not maintained in this way Owner reserves the right to hire a cleaning crew and deduct the expense from  the Contractors total payment.

 

 

SUBCONTRACTORS

No subcontractors are allowed on this project without the express written approval of the Owner.

 

BID FORM

Attached to this document is a Bid Form that must be filled out and turned in with the Bid for it to be valid.

 

HOLD HARMLESS

The contractor shall indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from all losses, injuries and damages caused by the negligent, reckless or intentional acts or omissions of the Contractor in rendering services pursuant to this agreement, including payment of reasonable attorney’s fees and costs in the defense of any claim made by a third person incident to such negligent, reckless or intentional act or omission.

Having carefully examined the General Contract provisions for Fairway Villas Condominium Association Snow Removal Contract, as well as the premises and conditions affecting work, the undersigned agrees to furnish all materials and labor in order to complete the work at the listed costs.  The contractor agrees by signing this document to comply with all of the terms of the Fairway Villas Condominium Association Snow Removal Contract.
